lyrics

I cannot keep going on thinking about everything you've done wrong. I've got to make it right for myself even if that means not holding on, but in this world of black and white sometimes it's the gray that brings life, and I can see the rain. It's necessary.

The color in the spectrum is starting to show, and I'm okay with occasional shades of gray. I know what's on the other side isn't always greener. I've always been one to see the dirt before the grass starts to show.

I've got huge hopes and intentions. They just get scattered in the falling like the leaves on the trees. I get carried away with the breeze. Sometimes, I wish I was strong like the evergreen. Someday, I'll be strong like the evergreen.

I fall every year, disintegrating into the earth. Pull me up into your roots and swallow me. I can bring life anew if you want me to.
